Title

Dispersions: An Exhibition by the Hans Ulrich Obrist Archive Class

Date

October 21 - November 14, 2014

Creator

Hans Ulrich Obrist Archive class, SAIC Departments of Visual and Critical Studies & Arts Administration

Description

"Point d’ironie" originated from a talk between agnès b., Christian Boltanski and Hans Ulrich Obrist in 1997 on the subject of “dispersion.” Each issue is made by a different artist and 100,000 copies are distributed for free around the world. This exhibition uses point d’ironie and other collaborations between Hans Ulrich Obrist and participating artists to trace the theme of dispersion both as a distribution method and curatorial methodology. Dispersions is part of an ongoing series of exhibitions curated by the Hans Ulrich Obrist Archive class, which is jointly sponsored by the Department of Visual & Critical Studies and Arts Administration. Exhibitions also take place in MacLean 705.
